Artwork – check! Master – (almost) check! So what is next?
Yeah! As you can see above the design of my home has slightly changed due to the artwork of my new record. I hope you like it. The master of the record is almost finished and I’m really looking forward to the day when I can announce a release-date. Unfortunately I still have to work on that one. In the meantime listen to the pre-production and be assured: the final version is awesome…

Some news about the recordings: we are still in the mixing process and there is no date for the release yet. But the mix should be done by the end of this week. Come back in a couple of days and maybe I’ll have some news…
Studio, 2nd day…
We entered the studio 10am and left 10pm. Little daylight and fresh air during that time. But now eight songs are done, just two more to go. It’s been an intense time for me singing and Karsten, Thomas and I fixed a lot of little bugs as well. The mixing starts on saturday and I’m really looking forward to it.
Back in the studio: the first day…
Since yesterday I’m working at the wonderful Gentle Art Studio (Hamburg) with Karsten Deutschmann and Thomas Lebioda from Labelship to finish my record. After nearly 12hours of hard work four songs are nearly done, so just six more to go. When everything is recorded the record will be mixed and mastered by Karsten and Thomas. We hope to finish everything until the weekend. So have a look at my page once in a while.
new look, new videos, new year
as you can see my home has been refurbished. i also added some new videos to the visual section. during the next weeks i will finish the record. have a look at my startnext campaign if you like.

two more shows and the record
i know it’s been quite a while since my last update. but i am still working on the record (in a broader sense). i found a wonderful record label for my new album and during the process of “negotiating” we realized that we have to fix some problems caused by lousy recording-technique (namely by myself). we will re-record the vocal tracks and maybe the drums tracks in january (and i will definitely add a piano, and…) and the release of the album will be a few months later (march-april 2012).
please be patient and if you have the time come and visit my last show for this year in hamburg.

still a(r)twork
pretty funny, eh!? ok. not really. the record is still finished but now I’m trying to figure out how the artwork, the way releasing the album, etc. might work. I never thought it could take so long, but I was obviously wrong at this point… I think (and hope!!) that fall is a realistic period for releasing the album. in the meantime: man at work!

i rearranged the audio section. you can find now three songs from my forthcoming record and one from my ep ‘on and on’.
stories the sea told me at night
It’s been 193 days since I started with the recording of my new album ’Stories the sea told me at night’. Today I can proudly announce: it’s done! The last three days I spent at the Gentle Art Studio in Hamburg and with the help of Karsten Deutschmann it has become a wonderful record.
The next few weeks I will spend on creating a physical record as well. In the meantime you can listen to some of the new songs.
yeah, it’s nearly done
…at least i hope so. the last two weeks i’ve been busy fixing wrong vocals, guitars and so on. but i have found a very nice man who will do the mixing and within the next three weeks everything should be finished. i will tell you about the release and so on. i don’t know yet whether there will be a physical (CD/LP) version of ‘stories the sea told me at night’ right from the beginning. it’s very expensive and right now it seems unlikely. but we will see. take care in the meantime!
better late than never
happy new year. i know that i am late. never mind… unfortunately i could not finish my record over christmas. i will tell you about it when i finished in 2030. but of course i will try my best to finish recordings as soon as possible.
on and on…
i was busy and i am really happy that the recording is proceeding well. unfortunately i have to record some guitar tracks again so the record will not be finished before january. in addition i will record a song with piano as well which – you will not guess it – requires a piano. this delay is not what i wished for, but i cannot change it. i made up a list and it is still quite long, but i think it is worth taking all the time.
four out of twelve…
yesterday i finished two more songs. so it is four out of twelve now. i like the moment when i erase a song from my – still quite long – to-record-list. come by from time to time to check further development.
the record?
there are still some things to record. but within the next days i will record the bass. the main part will be done then.
